BankBook ("the App") is a secure, offline vault application designed to store banking-related information on your personal device.

BankBook is designed with a privacy-first approach. The App does not operate a user account system and does not provide cloud-based data storage.

All financial information entered into BankBook is:

• ✓ Stored locally on your device
• ✓ Encrypted using industry-standard cryptographic techniques
• ✓ Protected by a user-defined PIN and/or biometric authentication

BankBook does not:

• ✕ Require account registration
• ✕ Collect personal financial data
• ✕ Access your contacts
• ✕ Access your location
• ✕ Upload vault contents to any server
• ✕ Sell personal data
• ✕ Share personal data with third parties

If you choose to export a backup file:

• ✓ The backup is encrypted using a password selected by you
• ✓ The password is not stored by the App or Developer
• ✓ You are solely responsible for securing your backup file and password

The App may use third-party crash reporting services (such as Firebase Crashlytics) to improve stability. These may collect limited technical information:

• ✓ Device type & OS version
• ✓ App version
• ✓ Anonymous crash logs and stack traces

Where applicable under GDPR, any limited technical data processing (such as crash reports) is performed on the basis of legitimate interest in maintaining application stability and security.

Because BankBook does not collect personal financial data, most GDPR provisions regarding personal data processing do not apply to vault contents.

BankBook does not sell personal information.

Because the App does not collect or store user financial data on external servers, most data access and deletion requests are handled directly by the user through uninstalling the application or deleting stored data on their device.

Since financial data is stored only on your device:

• ✓ You control retention entirely
• ✓ Uninstalling the App may permanently delete stored data
• ✓ Crash logs retained by third-party services are subject to those providers' data retention policies

Technical safeguards implemented:

• ✓ Local encryption
• ✓ Authentication via PIN and/or biometrics
• ✓ Automatic vault locking on inactivity
• ✓ Screenshot protection (where supported)

No system can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for maintaining device security and safeguarding access credentials.

BankBook is available globally. By using the App, you acknowledge that any limited technical diagnostic data may be processed in jurisdictions where the crash reporting service operates.

The Developer does not directly transfer user vault data across borders.

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). The Developer does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect legal, technical, or operational changes. Updates will include a revised effective date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
